If you're interested in listening to the music of a great band, then give it a try with Billy and the Lads.
Their latest self released record"B" is a soul-felt and heart-pounding selection of 'being'. It's been tickling the ears of the most critical with pleasure: "Hold onto your butt and keep one hand on the reigns as this ridiculously fun badboy, swamped up, cornball country rawk blues mix, something like Gomez meets T-rex, is likely to knock you off your rocker. Starting from a dark, swampy, mischevious base that suggests that Stobo is up to no good, the disc wraps up everything from psychedelic jazz rock hybrids to echoes of Floyd and straight up jammy rock. You can be certain that with each track, Stobo has a knack for keeping it fresh and vividly imaginative. This is an absolute must-hear." ---Derek Sivers of CD BABY
Listening to Stobo's self-released cd, 'B', a person can't help but have a smile on their face. With many different styles attributing to the bands uniqueness, each song has a fun and edgy sound to it that makes fans want to get up and just dance. What really brings the sound together is the ridiculously catchy songs, which range from what I'd describe as "Simple to Sophisticated" ... With amazing drumming and memorable guitaring in songs such as 'What You Can See Can Become' and 'Cosmic 45', and even great slow songs such as 'Honey and the Sting', this CD is an amazing ride, and a great listen for any fan who just wants to have a real good time. Bands like Stobo are hidden gems who deserve much more attention. THIS is why we got involved in music journalism to begin with. Don't hesitate to pick this CD up.

It's hard to pinpoint their sound, but after I listened to the whole cd, it didn't matter. The tunes roll around my head all the time, and the lyrics are surprisingly deep. Where's more? ---Phil McCorre of MUSIC BEAT
